There's a different email for updating an App in the App Store

When I want to update an app in the App Store, it says that I need to put in a password for an account, @icloud.com. I dont have an Icloud account and my apple ID is under Gmail.com. It won’t let me change the icloud “account”, and i don’t know what to do, or why it is saying it’s under icloud. I have re set my password but it won’t work and says wrong password.

Downloaded apps are associated to the Apple ID that was used when they were installed. You’d need to delete the app and download it again with your current Apple ID for it to be associated with the correct ID.
