17.6 on Mac random (frequent) beach ball/hang

Over the past day or so, Safari is randomly hanging (spinning beach ball) on Version 17.6 (19618.3.11.11.5). It is happening every 5-10 minutes and lasts ~15-30 seconds. I have done all the typical things (cache, restart, etc.). Seems to happen especially whenever switching tabs but also at random times like while typing this. I have kablock and ghostery running. Any ideas?

Running 14.6.1 on MacBook Pro 16 (2021)
