Windy app free trial but charged

Windy app is notoriously bait and switch. It offers free trial but then charges. Read the latest app reviews.

It offered me a 7day trial that I accepted. Immediately it attempted to charged me $170. My bank caught the charge and I blocked it. I tried immediately to cancel and request a refund but neither was an option with apple.

I reached out to apple support both text and phone but their solution to this fraudulent charge… allow the charge to go through and then request a refund. Or I can create a new Apple ID.

What is the solution? I need to pay $170 to an app that offered me a 7 day free trial?

No, you've attempted to game the system! There is only one free trail per app per user. You already used yours.

The app store knows that you've used the free trial before and when you tried to game the system and get another free trial, as soon as your downloaded the app again you were legitimately charged a paid subscription.

Sadly, you've brought this on yourself and there is no way out except to pay for the subscription, or abandon your Apple ID and all the content you've acquired with it and start over with a new Apple ID.
