I had to send a contact a message, and it wouldn’t go through as an iMessage, so I changed it to text. Now I can’t revert back to iMessage. I’ve tried everything-settings-messages; deleting contact and re-entering the contact,; close and restarting my phone.
Please help this is extraordinarily frustrating!

The contact may have shut iMessage off or is not connected to the internet. Is this only happening with one of your contacts?
Thank you for responding. Yes it was only the contact that I texted. I called them, and they said they were definitely toggled to iMessage, but in fact once they traveled, I was able to iMessage again. I think you were right, they were out of internet access.
Yep, traveling would explain it. Glad everything is working correctly now.
