WhatsApp requires your iPhone be updated to at least iOS 12. What iPhone do you own and what is the iOS version running on your iPhone? Go to Settings > General > About > Model and Version

I think the current version of iOS is 17.6.1

If you are not up to date, you can update by going to Settings>General>Software Update. if there is an update available, it will populate and give instructions to execute said update, just make sure your iPhone is plugged in and has more than 50% battery. it'll take a bit, and most sources used to say 85% battery or more and plugged in, but ive always been able to update as long as its plugged in period. is that what youre looking for?

not quite sure I understand perfectly - what version of iOS are you curtrtently running?
