Note, however, that the procedure Brian linked to does require the device to be erased. So as Lawrence said, unfortunately, there's no way to recover from a forgotten passcode without erasing the device. Hope you have a backup or have your data synched to the cloud in some way.

You can use the old passcode for 72 hours after changing it. After that there is no way to use the phone without erasing it, which is truly a shame because you could have turned on automatic backups your iPhone would back up every night.
