Not receiving forwards from Hide My Email

I signed up for HME on my XR with 17.5.1. I may have deleted the confirmation email from Apple (if I received one) but I had the option to use my new iCloud email when making an unrelated purchase. I did not receive a confirmation from that vendor either. How can I access emails if they are not being forwarded?

iPhone XR, iOS 17

If you're not receiving forwarded emails from Hide My Email (HME), here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

1. **Check Your Spam/Junk Folder:**

- Sometimes, forwarded emails can end up in the spam or junk folder of your email.

2. **Verify Email Forwarding Settings:**

- Go to **Settings** on your iPhone.

- Tap on your name at the top, then select **iCloud**.

- Tap on **Hide My Email** and ensure that your forwarding address is set up correctly.

3. **Check Your HME Addresses:**

- Go to **Settings** > **iCloud** > **Hide My Email**.

- Review the list of generated email addresses and verify that they are correct and have not expired or been deleted.

4. **Check iCloud Settings:**

- Ensure you are signed in with the correct iCloud account.

- Go to **Settings** > **[your name]** > **iCloud** and check that Hide My Email is enabled.

5. **Check Vendor's Communication:**

- If you're expecting an email from a specific vendor and haven’t received it, check with the vendor to confirm they have the correct email address and that there are no issues on their end.

6. **Recreate Your Hide My Email Addresses:**

- If you suspect there was an issue with your original Hide My Email addresses, you can try creating new ones:

- Go to **Settings** > **iCloud** > **Hide My Email**.

- Tap **Create New Address** and follow the prompts to generate a new address.

7. **Sign Out and Sign Back In:**

- Sometimes signing out of iCloud and signing back in can resolve issues. Go to **Settings** > **[your name]** > **Sign Out**, then sign back in.

8. **Update iOS:**

- Ensure your iOS version is up-to-date. Go to **Settings** > **General** > **Software Update** and install any available updates.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, contacting Apple Support for further assistance might be necessary.
