iCloud Resume Data Sync not doing anything

I recently had this issue since upgrading to iPhone 15 and after a few months I received and error about my data not syncing. When clicked it would prompt to sign in it after signing in nothing would happen and the error would stay on screen. This has also effected my find my iPhone and location sharing which has stoped sharing my location as well as being unable to access/ see other peoples location or receive any new requests

I just posted this in case to help anyone how may be experiencing the same or similar issues. The fix I found is to

sign out of your iCloud profile on your phone
check all 3 boxes to back up data before you sign out
wait 1 minute( 60 seconds)
sign back in
the error will still be there so you click it and sign with your iCloud password

*Note it may ask you to verify with another apple device*

after wards it should sync normally and full functionality will be on just make sure to go back into your iCloud account and turn on find my iPhone

if this does not work the first time you may need to reset your phone network

general >Transfer or reset iphone > reset> reset network settings

after words repeat the above steps and see if it works.
