How much is a 2012 iPad worth 32gb

I bought an iPad back in 2012, it still works but was wondering if I would be able to trade it in at the Apple shop

iPad, iOS 9

You can verify eligibility for trade-in and obtain an estimate of the potential trade-in value (if any) here:

Apple Trade In - Apple

Many choose to trade-in an iPad at physical Apple Store in preference to using the online option - as the device condition can be checked and the trade-in value finalised while in-store. Any value can be used in-store against purchase of a new device, or the value returned to you as a Gift Card that can be used against future device or services purchase.

Be aware that Apple’s in-store trade-in values may differ from the on-line estimate.

Before parting with your iPad - whether trading-in, selling privately, or simply disposing of an unwanted device - ensure that the device is properly prepared:

I don't know which specific iPad you have, but a quick scan through MacTracker indicates that

  • All of the iPads released or sold in 2012 have 32-bit processors. Apple switched to 64-bit processors in 2013.
  • None of the iPads in question can update past iOS 10 – if that.

I'm pretty sure that Apple won't offer you anything for it – except the opportunity to recycle it for free. If you still have a use for it (games?), you could keep using it, but I wouldn't count on being able to (re-)download any apps from the App Store.
