Use Reminders features (columns) without iCloud sync - (corporate device, no iCloud)

Hi everyone,

I use Reminders on my personal MacBook in column view, for Kanban tasks.

I have a company-managed MacBook for work, and when I went to choose Column view in Reminders, it's ghosted out. After some Googling, it seems like you have to sign into iCloud with an Apple ID and enable sync, just to use column view? (And other features, that I don't need.)

Since it's a work laptop, there is no iCloud sync available. Is there no way to use Reminders features offline, so I could have column view?

I don't understand why a simple view option requires enabling iCloud sync.

And also because it's a work laptop, I can't download and install different reminder/task apps. Ironically, I was excited to use Reminders because it's a system app, is private, is Kanban now, and would be exactly what I need.

Any advice or insight is appreciated.

Thanks!

B
