Is there a way that I can recover a text I was typing on my iPhone XR that disappeared?

On my iPhone 15 I was at the end of a long text I was writing. I was writing a closing statement when the entire text disappeared. It took me a long time composing this particular text and so frustrated it’s gone. I was trying to tap on a word to add a comma but every time I would do that, the Copy, Paste, Cut, kept highlighting the text in blue. I generally click outside the text to get that to disappear, however, this time I must have clicked incorrectly and lost my entire text message. Is there a way I can retrieve it and finish writing???
