iMac slow to boot up. Ever since the Sonoma upgrade, my Mac has been slow to start. Previously, it typically took between 40 seconds and a minute; latterly, two to three minutes is not unusual. And there are often oddities such as the colour of that spectacular vineyard taking a finite time to reach full intensity. Resetting the NVRAM is effective, putting start-up times back to historic norms. However, after a few days things return to 'slow boat' mode. Does anyone have any solutions that are more durable?

iMac running slowly My iMac (bought in 2017) is running very slowly. Start up takes forever, beachballing, etc. Attached is my etrecheck report, is it time for a new computer? Thanks for any advice.

Download and run the free version of EtreCheckPro, from > https://etrecheck.com/en/index.html

Then post the Report, as per > How to use the Add Text Feature When Post… - Apple Community
