Something is draining my macbook battery while lid closed. Etrecheck "performance below average"

Hi!

This is the battery usage graph... I closed the lid about 11 pm last night and didn't open it again until today at about 6:30pm, but as you can see something started draining it after 3pm, hours before I opened it.

Also when I started using it today, the macbook very hot :S as if it had been used for hours.

I also just found a lot of "allow in the background items". I decided to turn almost all of them off, but some of them seem sketchy:

Thanks for your help!!! Pls check the etrecheck report :)

regarding performance:

"normal" system CPU usage is around one percent, typical user usage at idle is under five percent, idle tend to exceed 85 percent.

then there's your system:

CPU Usage Snapshot:

Type Overall

System: 15 %

User: 41 %

Idle: 44 %

Top Processes Snapshot by CPU:

Process (count) CPU (Source - Location)

Google Chrome Helper (Renderer) (49) 66.36 % (Google LLC)

Google Chrome 38.18 % (Google LLC)

EtreCheckPro 22.34 % (Etresoft, Inc.)

WindowServer 15.60 % (Apple)

Google Chrome Helper (GPU) 9.48 % (Google LLC)

There are simply too many System modifications and not sure if you are currently even using all of them. Some of these may be old and transferred from a previous OS or were not uninstalled properly. The easiest way to resolve the problem is by doing a clean install of the OS and only install the apps that you are using. Of course, having a backup would be essential to avoid any loss of valuable data. You would not want to simply restore everything from the backup as that you just put you back in the same situation.

Apple SUGGESTS (but does not Warrant) that your battery MAY last as long as 1000 charge cycles, provided all other factors are well-controlled.

if you continue to allow the battery to become discharged, 1000 cycles could be consumed in as little as three years.

Battery replacement service currently costs US$250 in the US.

Plug it in until as often as possible until you figure out why this is happening, or face early battery failure.
