If you got this "imported" iPhone 4s for a "bargain" price, you may now be learning why it was such a "bargain."

You can repurpose an iPhone 4s as a music player, and for playing any games installed on it. As a cell phone or platform for running modern apps, it is thoroughly obsolete.

Apple introduced the iPhone 4s in October 2011. It has a 32-bit processor and cannot update past iOS 9. Apple moved to 64-bit processors starting in 2013, and there will be very few apps in the App Store that run on such an ancient iPhone. For all I know, Apple and developers may now have removed all 32-bit apps from the App Store.

The iPhone 4s has no 4G or 5G cellular radio coverage. In the United States, carriers have completely shut down 3G service, and in many other parts of the world, carriers have done that, or are in the process of doing so.
