Disable all unneeded apps when working in remote wildland areas?

I'd like to disable all apps I don't need when I work in remote wildland locations. It's too easy to activate unneeded apps to find out after-the-fact that my battery has been drained while the unneeded apps search the skies for connectivity.

Maybe an example would help: I only need a mapping app, the files app (to access work reference docs), and the camera. I don't need or want to inadvertently activate safari, Apple Maps, or other web page badges etc saved on the home screen.

Maybe move all unneeded apps into one multi-page badge, leaving only the ones I need out on the home screen? That would be klunky and cumbersome. Things frequently get inadvertently activated due to the touch screen. Maybe an assistive touch fix? Is there a way to disable/enable the touch screen with assistive touch?

Thanks for any suggestions or solutions.

Remove the apps you don't want to use from the Home Screen. Press and hold on the app. Select Remove App from the pop up menu. Then, select ""Remove from the Home Screen". This will remove the app from the Home Screen but leave it in the App Library.

Launching apps that you then don't use isn't really a major source of battery draining. Only the frontmost app is really "active".

More important is to turn off Background App Refresh for any apps that you don't need it for. Settings>General>Background App Refresh. Also, turn of notifications for any apps you're don't need to hear from.
