Videos looking blurry in photo app

Hi,

When playing some videos taken with my phone in the photo app they look blurry and low resolution but when editing them (still in the photo app) they look clear. Same when sending them via iMessage, they look great and clear. But watching them in the app itself looks bad. Why is that ? And it’s not for every videos tho.

Do you have "Optimize Storage" turned on in Settings>Photos? Storage is optimized by keeping lower resolution images on the phone until higher resolution is needed. When you zoom in, or Edit, or Print, or Export, the full image is grabbed from iCloud Photos. It will keep the higher resolution image until it senses that more space needs to be cleared. How full is your iPhone Storage? See Settings>General>iPhone Storage.
