Sorry, but I think you're out of luck. Even those with earlier versions of macOS had problems getting that printer to work, and I can find nothing to indicate that anyone has had any success at all on a Mac running Sonoma. Unless you have access to a Mac running macOS 14 or earlier, it's probably time to retire that old Canon.

Ah yes...
Canon PIXMA iP100 drivers are extremely outdated and won't work on operating systems above macOS Mojave.

The IP100 is no longer supported by Canon. I'd looked at Canon first, but my printer is too old.
I don't think that will work without the printer's drivers being installed, and folks have had poor luck getting the driver to work even on macOS 10.3.
