How can I locate my stolen MacBook Air?

During a trip to Nicaragua my laptop got stolen. I can see it’s location, and during the first week of being stolen, it would let me know that I was leaving it behind. It is powered off (it looks like). It still shows location, but when I drive by it doesn’t notify me that it is being left behind….

Sorry to hear about the theft. Recovering your Mac is unlikely, though you can hope. If it's powered off or otherwise no longer connected to the Internet, then it can't report its position through the "Find My" service, so no further location updates will be available. You can wait and hope that it comes back on line (and hasn't been erased) so you can report the location to the police - DO NOT attempt to recover the laptop yourself; people who tried that have been killed - and/or you can set the "Find My" service to lock or erase the unit when and if it comes back on line.

Good luck.
