how do i scroll left and right on my iphone

I have given up looking for this answer. How do I move left or right within text on any iPhone. For instance, when searching with Safari, if my search request is longer than the field, I’m not able to move to the end of the question to modify it…as an example. Why isn’t there arrows to move the cursor?

iPhone Safari doesn't support expander buttons in google search results When searching on Safari using Google, the results page has expander buttons, that show up as a chevron down character (⌄). They appear to the right of questions I might want to ask, in a circle, and when I click on them, a new block of text shows up underneath, with an answer. Except they don't always work. They work on my iMac, and on my iPhone 13, but my friend has tried this on an iPhone 14 and iPhone 15, and when she touches them, nothing happens. I couldn't get them to work either. There doesn't seem to be any setting that controls this, and we couldn't find any difference between her settings and mine. (We looked under Settings > Apps > Safari.) For example, search Google for Violet Green Swallow, and look at the four questions under People Also Ask. Does anyone know how to get these buttons to work on an iPhone 14 or 15?

Why is there 2 search bars since ios 26? Can anyone explain why I have 2 search bars since ios 26 update and why the lower one never shows what I’m trying to type..?…and why the lower bar actually completely covers and blocks the functioning one in Safari? Sometimes it will let me scroll the page alittle to get covered bar out from under the lower bar, but not always…very frustrating and any suggestions would be sweet! TY (this is on an iPhone 13 Pro) ;)
