How can I find out if my second hand bought AirPods are stolen?

Hi all,

I recently bought a second-hand pain or AirPod Pro 2nd generation online from BackM*****t,

when I connected them to my iPhone it showed that were associated with another email address, how do I know if this product has been stolen before or not? I do not want to have any problem with it and I thought the product was just refurbished and sold with an agreement from the previous buyer. I don't say that have been stolen as I don't know for sure. I do not want to sponsor this kind of market and I can technically return and get my refund in 30 days.
