I am unable to use many apps on my iPhone 6

You own an iPhone 6 which can't be updated beyond 12.5.7.

Most, if not all of those apps require higher operating system to work.

It's time for a new phone.

• If you have an iPhone 5S or 6/6plus, the highest you can update to is 12.5.7

• If you have an iPhone 6S through 7, or SE 1st generation, you can update to 15.8.2

• If you have an iPhone 8 or X, you can update to 16.7.10

• If you have an iPhone SE (2nd generation or later), or XR through 15, you can update to 17.6. 1

Your iPhone 6 is too outdated to run the versions of iOS that the developers of those apps have chosen to support.

iOS 12 is the end of the line for the iPhone 6, a phone released nearly ten years ago. Time for a new phone.

App developers have added support for newer iOS versions and dropped support for older versions.

Frankly, the iPhone 6 and iOS 12 are about 5-6 years or more behind the curve.

Time to start thinking about a new phone. Make sure your new phone will run iOS 18, which will be introduced any day now.

Are you saying you cannot install them, or are they installed but won't run?

On an iPhone 6, they can't be used, because the apps require a higher iOS version than a 10 year old, out of date, no longer supported iPhone 6 can run.
