Where are my sound effects?

No, they are not missing from the FCP Sound Effects tab but when I went to look for the originals in HD>Library>Audio>Apple Loops etc. I could find nothing!

My M2 mini is booted from an external SSD and there was no Apple Loops folder in the Audio folder.

Thinking they may be on the mini's internal SSD I found the Apple Loops folder but it was completely empty.

So where is FCP getting them from if they are not in the usual place on either drive?

I'm running Sonoma 14.6.1 . . . has that OS changed the location?

I seem to have all the usual FCP sound effects together with the iLife ones in the FCP window but no sign of them on my drives.

So it's not a problem but it certainly is a mystery.

Needless to say they are all visible on the Mac HD of my old Ventura iMac.
