Command C/V between devices not in proximity
Here is another oddball question. I was working on my iMac in my office. I hit Command C and got distracted so I didn't paste the text anywhere. A few minutes later, I was working on my MacBook Pro and copied some different text. The machines are in different rooms about 25-30 feet apart with walls and doors between them. When I returned to the iMac to paste the older text, it pasted the words I had copied on the MacBook. :/
I knew about the copy/paste feature with devices that are physically close to one another on the same wi-fi. It's a great feature and I use it a lot. I did not think it would work like this and I'm disappointed. Is that typically the way it works? Would the text have transferred if the machines were even further apart?
