How to get Brother scanner ControlCenter onto my new iMac?
My old mac stopped updating the operating system at 10.x, so I broke down and bought a new iMac.
My current issue relates to my new iMac and the Brother MFC-L8900CDW color laser printer scanner. For what it is worth, the print functionality works great, and I didn't have to download any sort of driver for that. My only issue is with getting the scanning function to work the way that I want.
On my old iMac, if I went to the Applications folder (left side menu when I open Finder), there was a folder titled "Brother". Inside of the folder there was an application called "ControlCenter". I am fairly certain that this application was downloaded to that old computer of mine at the same time that I downloaded the scanner driver from the Brother website.
With my new iMac, I've gone to the Brother download center and found the scanner driver that I need, and went through the whole download process, to the point where it said, "download complete!" But now, when I go to the Applications folder, there is no "Brother" folder in there. I've done a search in Finder for "Brother", "ControCenter", and "Control", but am finding nothing.
From what I understand, just because I downloaded the scanner driver, it doesn't necessarily mean that I also downloaded the Brother ControlCenter. But when I go the Brother download center, I can't seem to find any specific downloads for the ControlCenter.
Any/all help is welcome. Thanks!
