How to set up family sharing to locate family member on the map?
Are we able to set up something similar to family sharing where I can see where a family member is located on the map?

Do you have a Family Sharing group set up? You can use Find My - which does not require a group - to share locations with anyone, inside or outside a family group.

As Apple notes in this document: If you already set up Family Sharing and use Location Sharing, your family members automatically appear in Find My.
