I am not able to drag apps to my extended display

Hi All,

Recently I had purchased a New MacBook Pro M2, I am using it with an external display of HP e24 G4 Model.

Since I have attached the external display, I am not able to drag any of the app from my Mac's display to it, however when I am trying to drag Safari, it's working.

some examples of the apps I am not able to drag are:

  1. Whatsapp
  2. Telegram
  3. settings
  4. messages

However these are draggable when the window on the extended display is minimized or not in stretched to full display.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 14.6

What happens when you drag the other Apps?

Are you dragging them through the same side of the screen as Safari?

Do you see your mouse cursor move to the other display when dragging the app windows there?

Try going to Settings ➜ Desktop and Dock ➜ Mission Control, and see if you have the "Displays have Separate spaces" turned on.

If so, try turning it off.
