Group iMessage splitting into individual threads

I have a group thread of five friends (4 using Apple devices and 1 using an android device) and up until recently, all messages were sent and viewed in the group thread in iMessage. After I upgraded to iOS 17.6.1 the replies on the group thread are now splitting up into individual threads and the responses aren’t visible in the group thread. This has taken away the group feature of the group thread! What do I do to fix this so all messages stay within one thread?

You're in a group MMS not imessage. Someone in your group may have MMS turned off, if that isn't the issue, then everyone would need to contact their phone carrier MMS is thier feature.
