Invalid Purchase Date, What could be the reason?

I purchased the new macbook air M3 15 inch last July 2024, it was sealed, I was the who purchased it, unboxed it and activated it.

But when I check on checkcoverage.apple.com because I would like to check the purchase date, the system is showing me that the purchase date is April 2024? What could be the possibility of this happening?

I called Apple customer support and they also do not know. I need help please.

May depend upon the seller you made the purchase from or when the Mac was actually registered with Apple.

The linked article below explains about the purchase date or expiration date for your AppleCare agreement

Eg: If your coverage expiration date is incorrect:

You can correct a Purchase or Expiration Date. (You will need proof of purchase)

See: About the purchase date or expiration date for your AppleCare agreement - Apple Support

NB:

In the above article, you can click a link : "To update your purchase date, send Apple your proof of purchase" to go to the correct online webpage where that can be updated.

___________________

For proof of purchase:

The correct purchase date will be on the receipt for your purchase.

Eg:

Look for a receipt: ✽ In the packaging / warranty info / if you kept it

✽ In your eMails (search for eMails from Apple ... or search amongst stored digital receipts.

✽ Wherever you store paper receipts / warranties / guarantees etc., if you do.

If the actual date is needed to help search / locate the receipt:

You might want to check through the financial statements of the payment method you used.

All the best :-)
