repeated screeching noise in headphones

I’ve bought several pairs of wired headphones brand new and every pair has a tendency to suddenly make a really painful high pitch screeching if i accidentally slightly tap the plug/insert, which is completely inevitable. yes i plug them in properly, no i didn’t use an adapter, yes it’s happened with multiple devices, no it’s not my fault, you need to fix this, it’s horribly unpleasant and not safe
