What is the average lifetime of a charging cable?

I still have my old ipod 1g pin30 from 2008 it still works fine,

only cables I had die on me was because xwife would pull the cable itself rather than the connector when disconnecting the cable

I doubt anyone would have an average, just anecdotes. I’ve had cables for years. My daily use one in my car lasted about 4 years. I’m overly careful.
