IOS 17.5.1 gifs missing from messaging

my new iPhone recently updated to 17.5.1 and the .gif is not available in messaging.

Gifs are assessed in a different way in iOS 17.


To send GIFs in iOS 17:


  • Start a conversation in the Messages app.
  • Then, tap the "+" icon to the left of the text box. This will reveal some of your iMessage apps.
  • Tap the #images app if you see it.
  • If you don't see the #images app, tap "More" at the bottom.
