Set a group email to 20 recipients in bcc - can't check whether they received it or not as they don't show up as 'sent'
So does bcc mean even I can't detect if sent?

Just curious, how would you expect to know if a recipient received an email if they were the To: or a CC: recipient?
Without jumping through some major hoops, there is no way to tell if any individual received an email, or what they did with it (opened it, trashed it, marked it as spam, etc.). Doesn't matter where they fall in the To/CC/BCC hierarchy.
In your sent box you should be able to se BCC:s, nowhere else...
Are you saying that if you send an email to only BCC recipients, the message doesn't list in your Sent mailbox?
That doesn't match my experience. Messages sent to BCC-only recipients do show in my Sent mailbox.
If I send 20 emails in the 'To' line they show up in 'Sent' - just not in the Bcc line
Excellent point(s).:)
