How to check if my iPhone is safe to use after water damage?

So earlier, I had dropped my phone in a sink and my charger port got water into it and after that I was going to use rice but instead, I just let it air dry for about 24 to 10 hours and no message popped up so is it OK for me to use now?

It's hard to say whether your phone is going to be OK.

It is good that you did not put your phone in rice. I have read that rice will fill your ports with little rice particles, so you will end up with clogged ports, and with moisture inside the phone trapped with no means of escape.
