Sim Card Error Message iPad with IOS 17.6.1

Since updating my iPad to IOS v. 17.6.1 I have been receiving an error message every day that says I have a sim card failure. I tried to remove the card to reset, but it did not come out when using the little tool provided by Apple.

Has anyone else had this same issue?

Thanks

The physical SIM tray can be awkward to eject. Using the SIM Tool supplied with your iPad, or a partially unfolded paperclip, place the tip in the tiny hole of the SIM tray. Do not insert the tool into any other aperture as you will cause damage.

While keeping your fingers clear of the SIM tray, apply inward pressure to just the SIM Tool; you may have to press quite hard. The SIM tray, with the SIM Card, should pop-out.

If you are unable to remove the SIM tray from your iPad, you would be best advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to assist:

Removal of SIM card is not real easy. Try again with paper clip if that helps.

When you do get sim out, take a magnifier and look in sim slot on iPhone for a pink dot.

If you see this, it indicates a moisture problem for the phone. Otherwise inspect for dust or lint , then replace, and power up.

Check with Apple Store if this error doesn’t go away.
