How to disable autocorrect and predictive text on Apple watch ONLY?

While I like predictive text on my iPhone while texting since I can choose appropriate words this feature on iWatch is creating total mess since it uses any word similar to my input without my control. Can we disable this feature on iWatch only? I am using watch so often for calls and texts and it is really painful experience. Thanks.

Hey there,

As of 2024, Apple does not provide a straightforward option to disable predictive text or autocorrect specifically on the Apple Watch alone. The predictive text and autocorrect features are generally linked to the iPhone’s keyboard settings, meaning changes made to those settings on your iPhone will also affect your Apple Watch. Here’s a summary of the situation:

1. Turning off Predictive Text/Autocorrect:

• To adjust settings that affect both your iPhone and Apple Watch, you can:

• Go to Settings > General > Keyboard on your iPhone.

• Toggle off Predictive Text and/or Auto-Correction.

2. Limitations:

• As of the latest updates, it seems you cannot disable autocorrect or predictive text only on the Apple Watch without applying the same change to the iPhone .

• There has been significant community feedback requesting this feature, so it might be addressed in future watchOS updates.
