Using MacBook Pro Mid 2014 as monitor with Macbook Air M3

I'm looking into buying an Macbook Air with M3, I currently still use my MacBook Pro mid 2014, it's honestly in good condition but I just feel like I need an upgrade now because it's just basically not working great with my AirPods or iPhone and of course can't update anything anymore. I was trying to figure out if there's a way to use it as a second monitor, I see videos everywhere but I just want to ask here if it's possible?

MacBook Pros never supported the ability to be Target Displays. Only some of the all-in-one iMac desktops did. You won't be using the old MBP as a second screen in that way.

Use your iMac as a display with target display mode - Apple Support

In addition, your Mid 2014 MacBook Pro is too old to act as an AirPlay Receiver for a lower-quality AirPlay to Mac connection. (Unless, perhaps, you buy third-party software to make it act as a sort of AirPlay Receiver.)
