Is there a way I can change my age on my Apple ID account?

My account was set by my parents when I was 12 years old, it was set as if I was 0 at the time so now that I’m 20 years old it appears as if I have 8 on my apple account, can’t seem to change it because I would have to be over 13… had a call with apple support but didn’t help much, the lady said I would have to create a new account. Is there another way I can change my age on my account? Or form my family circle creators account?

I would also be interested on having someone from apple change it, its really inconvenient that I can’t even add a payment method for myself.

It appears you were given the correct information from Apple. It is also detailed in this support article that if the Organizer changes the birthdate to an age under 13, it cannot be edited.

To change a birth date to any age below 13,* you must be a member of a Family Sharing group, and your family organizer must approve the change. After you change a birth date to any age below 13, you can't edit it.* Learn more about Family Sharing.

Update the birth date associated with your Apple ID - Apple Support

So it would appear the options now are to wait until your age on your Apple ID shows 13 or create another Apple ID with the correct age.

Get your parents to make the request. Apple may regard that differently.

only an organizer can transfer you to a new family group. use this: Move a child to another group using Family Sharing - Apple Support

How can we make the request? I’m trying to fix it by joining another family which is what the lady from the apple support call told me to do. I get the invite and I open it, but it only gives me the option to close the invite because I’m already a member of another family.

Is there someone I can contact that can help me solve this problem? Someone who can manage my account and is able to change this things?

Read the ways in spookygurb's post. Apple defers this to your parents who have ultimate control of your account. I know you claim you are older now but that was a misdeed of theirs in putting your age as zero.
