How to adjust time stamp on iphone photos

My wife has an iPhone 15 and I have an iPhone 14. When we take photos while travelling and I upload them to the cloud, they are sorted by date and time. We take photos of the same things at the same time, but they are not adjacent to each other when in the cloud because her time stamp says (for example) 09.42.18 for 9:42:18 in the morning. My time stamp says 18.42.09 for the same time. How can I adjust one of the phones so that they both have the same time stamp?

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 17

Surely 18.42.09 is not the same time as 09.42.18 AM? 09.42.18 PM would be 21.42.18, so this is confusing.

The time indicated on our phones is in Setting>General>Date & Time. You can choose 24 hour time or not. And you can choose to set the time manually to whatever you like. You can also set the Time Zone here.

The picture creation times in Photos really, deep down, use Universal Time from Greenwich, England. The time order depends on that, not at all on how you choose to see it. Her is the metadata from a picture I took the other day:

You can see that the time zone indicates that my time is 5 hours different from Universal Time.

So you can adjust the appearance of times in Photos with the "Adjust" button in Photos' Info Window, but it's a good idea to get the actual time on the phones to agree!
