I dropped my phone from a foot high and now its saying its overheating

Power off the phone and make an appointment at the Apple Store or take the phone to an authorized Apple service shop.

The drop may have physically damaged the hardware inside the phone, causing it to think it's overheating. A repair may be needed to fix the issue.

If the phone does feel warm, the battery may have been damaged and your phone needs to get repaired as soon as possible.
