Blu ray on iMac 2011
So i have a mid 2011 iMac and a 2016 blu ray would it work some people say it would some say it won’t help pls!

Apple never shipped Macs with Blu-Ray drives, or with software for playing back Blu-Ray movie discs. While you can get external Blu-Ray computer drives, they don't usually come with software for playing back Blu-Ray movie discs – that's extra.
Mid-2011 iMacs cannot run anything later than High Sierra – which would make it hard to find any Blu-Ray movie playback or authoring software for them now.
The built-in optical drive on your Mid 2011 iMac does support various kinds of CDs and DVDs.
