Apple removed the Python 2 distribution from the operating system in macOS Monterey 12.3. Upon doing so, Apple made it clear that if developers wanted a Python distribution they would be responsible for installing their own such as the current Python.org 3.12.5 distribution. Python.org has deprecated the last Python 2.7.18 distribution and it is no longer supported.
Apple also provides an incomplete Python 3.9.6 distribution in its command line tools for Xcode download though I would not recommend that Python version for anything.
No one outside of Apple knows what plans they have for anything until they announce them.
