Apple pay says confirmed but cant accept it

I sent $41 to my friend over a week ago not knowing she didn’t have apple pay set up. I thought it would just expire after a week but it didn't and when i checked the payment it says completed but she doesn’t even have it set upso i have no idea where the money went or how to get it back?
