Apple Pay transaction goes through but no funds

if i sent money on apple pay to someone and they automatically accept it, but then my bank says i don’t have the funds, will the apple pay get reversed in that person’s account and cancelled on my end or will i just owe my bank the money but the person keeps the money sent?

You’re confusing Apple Pay and Apple Cash. They are two entirely different products/services. Funds are sent through Apple Cash for Person-To-Person (P2P) transfers. Apple Pay only transfers encrypted data used for purchases with credit or debit cards.

There is no hard and fast rule. The bank will use their discretion on deciding how to handle the overdraft. This would be a very poor issue to have to confront. It’s quite likely your Apple Cash account would be permanently closed after one or two overdraft situations.
