Apple Watch, registered in my sons name.

Can I re- register an Apple Watch in my name to my new iPhone.


Originally the Apple Watch was registered in my sons name and he is donating the Watch to meo

iPhone 15, iOS 17

What to you mean by "registered"? If you mean that it was set up using your son's Apple ID and paired with his iPhone, then if he did not do so, he needs to unpair the Watch from his iPhone so it removes Activation Lock:


Unpair and erase your Apple Watch - Apple Support


Then you should be able to pair the Watch with your own iPhone.


If that's not what you mean by "register", please explain further.
