I think it is because my Mac OS is outdated?
I am running a Mac Mini 2012 with Catalina
Version 10.15.7.
And my phone is an SE with 17.5.1 OS.
It is very frustrating because I see these messages on my phone
but when I look on my Mac they are not there. I did try 'get mail'
but got nada.
They are employment related messages I'm receiving so it's important
that they sync. Please advise if there is a way to fix this. Thanks

Who is your eMail provider?
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
If you have no POP accounts & they’re all IMAP accounts then in Mail’s Mailbox menu choose Rebuild.

Also, to confirm, are you using the mail app that came with macOS, or are you using a different app and if so which one?
