Do I need to factory reset my MacBook Pro?

I bought a new MacBook Air. I used migration assistant to move all my files from my old MacBook Pro that I want to give to my husband. Do I need to factory reset

Will reseting old Mac after migration affect new in any way? I've just switched to a new MacBook Pro, and I have synchronised all my data from the old Mac with Migration Assistant. I don't have a Time Machine back up of either Mac. But now that all the data is transferred, can I factory reset my old MacBook without it affecting my new Mac. erasing content on macbook I got a new computer and transferred everything from my old mac to my new mac. I now need to erase all content so I can trade in the old macbook. I am not sure how to do that.
