So I try facetiming my mum (who also has an iphone) and we used to be able to facetime but I no longer can. It just doesn't appear when I try, I can call her and message her using imessage but can't facetime her. I can facetime everyone else in my contacts just not my mum. I have made sure all my setting privicy, facetime etc are on and working. It just doesn't seem to be working.

Doesn't sound like an issue with your phone, but your mum may have FaceTime shut off at Settings > FaceTime.
