Pop-up fake virus warnings with example
John Galt: Thank you for the detailed reply, but the examples you showed are not the kind of virus warnings I'm getting. I'm getting tiny pop-ups in the upper right corner like this:
I have not, of course, clicked on any of these. I do recognize that they are click bait trying to prompt me to open something that actually WILL infect my computer.
They come in every few minutes, sometimes two or three on top of each other, even when my browser (Safari 17.1.2) is closed and I am not online. All instructions I find for getting rid of them say to go to Sarai > Settings and follow further instructions from there. However, I do not find any Settings tab anywhere in Safari, so I'm stymied even at the outset. This is all I see in the Safari menu.
So I'm still stuck with no solution for getting rid of these annoying popus that come up every 10-15 minutes.
