iPhone video sent to Android yields poor quality 3gp file.

I have a 2023 Macbook Pro and a 2022 Android phone. iPhone videos sent to the phone are poor quality 3gp, which are not improved if opened on my Macbook. I'd read that this is a problem with texting. What can be done to fix this?

You could try to create an iCloud link; from either your iPhone or MacBook (Whichever has the best quality video).

Select the photos and/or videos from the photos app, and in the share options you should see an option that says 'copy iCloud link', and from there you can text the link to your android phone.

It is usually temporary, lasts several weeks, but you can download the content locally on the android and it should be in the same quality as on the iPhone, though you may need to allow time to upload if it's a big file.

Hope this helps.
