unstoppable "System Extension Error" after update to Sonoma 14.6.1

After updating my macbook air M2 to latest sonoma version (14.6.1), I get "System Extension error" at startup, after going to privacy and security setting it says: "some system software requires your attention"

after clicking "Details", It says: "system software from the following developers was updated and the system needs to be restarted before it can be used."

Listed names are "Apple Inc-Updated / Motu-Updated", then I Click on OK and after putting my password and choosing to restart, System Restarts.

after loading , I Recieve the exact "System Extension error" Again, Like Nothing has changed! Everything is just like before and again it needs to restart. I did it again and again and no change at all.

Now my mac doesn' t recognise my soundcard (Ultralite MK3 Hybrid)

before this update my OS was a lower version (14.0) of Sonoma And everything was working nicely.

what fixes or workarounds I've already tried:

1. from Startup Options I Select “Reduced Security” and enable “Allow user management of kernel extensions from identified developers” to allow installation of software that uses legacy kernel extensions.

2.uninstall and remove all drivers and installed it again with the latest version that is availabe in website, the one was installed before and was working fine.

3. Repair startup disk with First Aid

4. disconnect second monitor and disable any mouse or touchpad assistant to adjust privacy settings.

5. do all the thing that mentioned above with and without connecting soundcard.

6. remove motu .kext files from library, restart, to Solve "apple Inc-Update", then after restart the error was gone, after that install motu driver, restart, recieve Error and "Apple Inc-Updated / Motu-Updated" is there again.

Well the original poster did, and I linked to another forum where similar attempts are described in detail.

Changing settings in Recovery mode is the needed to install Universal Audio Apollo/UAD as standard, however that is not the issue here (tried numerous times).

In fact I completely uninstalled UAD and I still get the message regarding a developer called Apple Inc. and 2 others which are sound / audio related (Presonus and Leapfrog).

I, like others here, am having an issue with my Universal Audio Apollo not being recognized, but it seems the problem is wider than just UA, and is indeed an apple problem, as I am getting notifications for multiple developer's software that "was updated and the system needs to be restarted." I have restarted my computer so many times I'm now questioning my sanity. As far as addressing the UA problem, I have done the UA uninstall reinstall process 3 times now.

Normally, one needs to grant permission for the driver in system preferences. There is no option to allow the driver. What I get is a message in the security and privacy section of system settings that says "some system software needs your attention before it can be used and a "details" button. Clicking that buttons just shows:

I click ok, and am prompted to restart my computer for the 9000th time. (all of the buttons/switches are greyed out and unable to be modified)

When I try to force the UA driver reload procedure via terminal (provided to me by someone at UA support), I am given this error:

Error Domain=KMErrorDomain Code=27 "Extension with identifiers com.digidesign.iokit.DigiDal,com.uaudio.driver.UAD2System not approved to load. Please approve using System Preferences." UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Extension with identifiers com.digidesign.iokit.DigiDal,com.uaudio.driver.UAD2System not approved to load. Please approve using System Preferences.}

I have reinstalled Sonoma. I have tried un/reinstalling the UAD software multiple times. I'm pulling my hair out over here.

Any help from Apple or anyone in the community would be greatly appreciated as I'm just burning money at this point.

I stopped troubleshooting days ago.
I have been using UAD since 2017 and never had an issue like this. Through I don’t know how many OS updates and an intel iMac and a M1 Mac mini. Apple screwed something up.

So what do you plan to do then? Have you contacted the manufacturer about this? If this is as common as you seem to think then they would be well aware off it by now. 14.6.1 has been out for a couple of weeks now. Then there’s 14.7 on the horizon as well.

In addition if this is your living and mission critical you should consider setting up a test system to try updates out before installing them on your production machine.

I am going through the EXACT same problem all day today. I've done all these same steps and nothing is working. After I reinstall UAD for the 50th time it tells me to go to privacy & security within 30 minutes to click "Allow" - but I never get that option, it only says "Details" as the only option to click.

Has anyone found a fix?

I have restarted in recovery mode about 15 times to set the Security Policy and set it to Reduce. It NEVER works!!!

I've just had an email from apple care support, ( acsupportcase@apple.com )due to my posts on here, to say they will telephone me to discuss the problem. The mail knew my name and the address looks real. So tomorrow I have phone call to hopefully sort this problem out ( of course if successful I will get back to all). Has anyone else had contact from apple direct ? ( as I'm hoping it's not spam and a fake ?! )

Same. I received a phone call from an Austin Texas number while I was out & didn't answer it. Got back to see an email that I was unsure was legit as I didn't instigate a support ticket with Apple. Email followup proved it was legit. Our schedules line up for Monday, so I hope collectively we can get a resolution to this. Fingers crossed.

Just don't give out your CC info! 😂

Good Idea, would be amazing if this works for everyone!

I am now failing to update the Sequoia 15.0 beta because: "Failed to personalise the software update. Please try atain. An error occurred while downloading the selected updates. Please check your internet connection and try"

...but this is a different topic I guess. After all the attempts and trying everything to get my apollo twin x running before coming here I am resigning now after about 3000 restarts, but the official release should be on the 16. Sep. 24. So I´ll wait until then and hope for the best!
